A. October is for Octonauts
---
Last month the Seacoast Science Center (Rye, New Hampshire) celebrated its 25th anniversary with interactive stage shows with their special guests the Octonauts. In October we celebrate the 10th birthday of The Octonauts and the Sea of Shade.
Plus the first-ever Underwater Adventures box set of The Octonauts arrives later this month. This collects the original 4 book series, which inspired the hit animated TV show.
A limited edition run of 500, the slipcase is $59.95 and
includes a bonus Octonauts art poster by Meomi!
Enjoy this collectible commemorative box set!
B. Tales from the Chinese Zodiac box set is coming
---
Likewise, we are producing the first-ever box set of the Tales from the Chinese Zodiac.
This collects the 12 book series, the only one of its kind in English. Plus most of the stories have bilingual Chinese translations available.
The amazing art and fun adventures will keep families entertained all year round.
Again a limited edition run of 500, the slipcase is $179.95 and includes a bonus fold-out poster.
The box set will be available in November, in time for the holidays. Pre-order yours today!
C. The Discovery of Ramen is cooking!
---
The Discovery of Ramen launches our new series The Asian Hall of Fame.
The Discovery of Ramen will be the 1st ever English children's book about ramen!
We're making special prints, drawings, and t-shirts (courtesy of artist Juan Calle who illustrated Good Dream, Bad Dream and The Year of the Rooster) for our Kickstarter backers. Also thanks to everyone who pre-ordered copies at the Dragon Boat festival in Oakland, CA in September.
Join our kickoff storytimes at Eastwind Books (Berkeley, CA, 11/18) and Books Inc. (Burlingame, CA, 11/19). We're planning more author events, so stayed tuned.

The Octonauts
by Meomi
"...imagine my surprise when I learned these original books by MEOMI were what inspired the cartoon! ... Now, if you know how books inspired by children's cartoons are (not that good) you will be surprised by these books too! They are really well written stories with awesome illustrations! Caden's favorite of the three we borrowed is The Octonauts & the Sea of Shade. This is why I've chosen this book for my first Picture Book of the Day post."
