Our books are leveled

Now teachers, librarians, and curriculum planners can use our stories for their students' exact reading levels.

Our stories cover the gamut of elementary school grade and interest levels, and feature a rainbow of literary themes and subjects.

Guides for Teachers

year of the rat Immedium is pleased to provide elementary school teaching materials for our books. Feel free to download these handy school guides which may help you plan successful reading lessons, create constructive classroom discussions, and assign productive homework topics.

The guides are PDF files, which require Adobe’s Acrobat Reader to view and print - simply click on appropriate link below to download the desired file. If you need Acrobat Reader, click here to download it for free:

We believe that each of our stories works on multiple levels. One is enjoyment. Another is education through exposure to new concepts and different worlds. And others include personal reflections on one's own experiences as well as those of parents, teachers, and friends.

More than being just book reports, our guides help adults and children use our tales to think about themselves and how they are the main characters in their own stories.

Testimonials

"On behalf of the Chinese Arts Council of Pacific Asia Museum, I thank you again for coming to the museum to read The Year of the Tiger. It was so much fun to listen to your story telling. I hope you will come back again soon."
- Yvonne Chang, President of the Chinese Arts Council, Pacific Asia Museum, CA, 2010

"On behalf of all the Carver Family - students, staff and parents- I want to thank you for visiting our school and talking with our 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade students...Those of us who attended both presentations were impressed that you tailored your talk to each level. The teachers were happy that you talked about the writing process and we know the students were very entertained with your choices of books you reviewed with them. Ever since then, all your books have been circulating in our library extremely well."
- Carver Elementary School PTA, San Marino, CA, 2010
