A. The Octonauts partner with USA's science department
---
The New York Times reported that The Octonauts is getting endorsed by America's scientists!
"Octonauts...is getting a seal of approval of sorts from a unit of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The federal agency's Office of Ocean Exploration and Research...signed a letter of intent to develop a formal partnership to raise awareness of ocean exploration and science and advance NOAA's mission...
Through Octonauts, 'We find we're reaching their parents just about as effectively as we are reaching 3- to 5-year-olds,' said David McKinnie, a senior adviser in NOAA's Ocean Exploration and Research office."

B. Dave Derrick brings the Scariest Thing to Utah
---
A native of Utah, author Dave Derrick returns to his stomping grounds in November to share his newest story I'm the Scariest Thing in the Jungle!
This month, Dave will read at elementary schools (including the one he attended as a kid), book stores, and children's museums across the "Beehive State."
"I'm the Scariest Thing in the Jungle is one of those books that you realize could easily become your child's most favorite stories of all time. The book that, when they grow up, they'll want to read to their own children." - Just a Little Creativity
C. Hannah the Horse is coming!
---
Punctual and prepared, The Year of the Horse is arriving in mid-November. Just in time for Thanksgiving!
This is the 9th adventure in our popular annual series Tales from the Chinese Zodiac, written by Oliver Chin.
Jennifer Wood has illustrated Dominic the Dragon (2012) and Suzie the Snake (2013). Now she gives our newest heroine plenty of "joie de vivre."
Hannah is a youngster overflowing with spirit - but who help her pal Tom and his art teacher Laoshi deliver a valuable painting to a faraway destination?
We're setting up a full calendar of events for 2014, so contact us if you'd like a hip-hopping storytime reading and author visit!

I'm the Scariest Thing in the Jungle!
By David Derrick
"Besides the awesome illustrations, the book is written very well. The conversation between the alligator and tiger really sounds like two kids fighting about who is the best...Five out of five bookworms for I'm The Scariest Thing In The Jungle!"

Julie Black Belt: The Belt of Fire
By Oliver Chin, illustrated by Charlene Chua
"Please have the author autograph this book for Neveya. My daughter loves the first Julie Black Belt book. We read it every night. She is currently a student in Kung Fu and has earned many belts. Neveya feels that she can really relate to Julie's story."
