I'm the Scariest Thing in the Jungle!
Kids want to be noticed, and so do this tiger cub and little croc. However, which one really is the king of the beasts? Their playful banter is captured in energetic watercolors, which will surely please families of every stripe.

B. . New book #2Julie Black Belt sequel

Also debuting is the continuing quest of one of our most beloved heroines!
Julie Black Belt: The Belt of Fire
- the sequel to Julie Black Belt: The Kung Fu Chronicles.
Expressively illustrated by Charlene Chua, Julie has encouraged children to try new things. Girls especially appreciate how Julie inspires them to strive and attain their goals.
Author Oliver Chin happily provided the first two copies of the book in the entire world to eager readers at the Chinese Heritage Camp in Colorado this past Labor Day weekend. You go, girls!
The California launch party is at Books Inc. in Alameda, CA on October 19th - see you there!
C. Zoo and Dragon events

Next week we display our books at the annual convention of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums in Kansas City, MO.

Many of our stories feature amazing animals and naturally appeal to visitors of these venues. We're eager to introduce our tales to these professional animal-lovers and offer our well-drawn characters at more of their gift shops nationwide.
Then we return to the San Francisco Dragon Boat Festival on September 14-15.

This gathering is one of our biggest and best events of the year, and inspired our recent story The Year of the Dragon, 8th in our Tales from the Chinese Zodiac series.
We continue to celebrate The Year of the Snake, and Suzie the Snake looks forward to meeting new fans!

Justin Time:
The Big Pet Story
By Brandon James Scott
"Justin Time has quite a bit of educational value. Your toddler won't learn to count watching Justin Time, but they will learn about kindness, nature and science. The nature and science information is presented in a way that children will understand."
- Worn Baby Shoes
Sid the Squid
By David Derrick
"My son loves Sid the Squid and I love reading it to him. We highly recommend this book….the staying power of this book has made me glad that I bought it. The more I read this book to my three-year-old son the more I appreciate it."
