Ready to celebrate the Chinese New Year?
Last year we introduced you to Immedium’s The Year of the Dog: Tales from the Chinese Zodiac, the first book in an annual series highlighting the twelve animals of the Chinese New Year. The illustrations were eye-catching and fun and we enjoyed learning more about the traits of someone born in the Year of the Dog. Well, it’s time again to celebrate the Chinese New Year and Immedium’s got the book for you!
I was able to get my hands on an advanced copy of The Year of the Pig: Tales from the Chinese Zodiac. Being careful to keep the unbound pages in order, my kids and I sat down to read about another animal from the Chinese Zodiac, Patricia the piglet. Patricia undergoes an amusing journey and learns to appreciate her true nature, something all kids need to learn. But that’s all I’m going to tell you. If you want to read more, you’ll have to get your hands on your own copy.
I love it when my children are able to learn about the beliefs and traditions of different cultures, and books from the Tales from the Chinese Zodiac series are a great way for them to do so. I highly recommend starting your own collection.
