The Discovery of Anime and Manga
The Asian Hall of Fame
by Phil Amara and Oliver Chin
illustrated by Juan Calle
"The book is very informative and presents the history of manga in an appropriate way for kids to truly understand it....I think the younger kids would enjoy the colorful pictures and the older kids would enjoy the learning the history of some of their favorite characters and art forms. The book is a fun read and a great resource for any home or classroom."

The Treehouse Heroes
and the Forgotten Beast
by Phil Amara
illustrated by Alina Chau
"The story and illustrations are awesome! I love the style of the characters. The smoke and fire have a life unto their own. The vibrant watercolors contrasted against the pure white backgrounds makes for some really interesting compositions. The moral of the story is nicely told with great illustrations. I think kids would really like this book."
