A. Dominic and The Year of the Dragon
---
We've enjoyed sharing The Year of the Dragon with families at schools, libraries, and community events. Readers have enjoyed the rousing adventures of Dominic the dragon and others in our series Tales from the Chinese Zodiac.
Copies flew off the shelves at Target stores nationwide, during our seasonal promotion in February. Thanks for your support!
Plus the illustrator Jennifer Wood drew special drawings for appreciative fans at Vroman's bookstore (Pasadena, CA) and all weekend at the Huntington Library (San Marino, CA).
We look forward to presenting more entertaining and interactive storytimes this spring.
B. The Octonauts suit you!
---
At the 2024 Golden Globe Awards in January (Los Angeles, CA), the star of the TV show Suits, Patrick J. Adams, and his wife Troian Bellisario told People magazine that their children are Octonauts fans.
The parents said their kids, instead of watching the awards show on TV, would "probably want to change it and put on Octonauts..."
Suits, starring Adams and Meghan Markle, ran in the USA from 2011-19, but was the most streamed TV show in 2023 (on Netflix and Peacock).
Our four original storybooks launched the popular television program worldwide.
A new generation of Octonauts fans are discovering where the all the fun began!

More Awesome Asian Americans
by Phil Amara and Oliver Chin
illustrated by Juan Calle
"The comic book style of the illustrations are vibrant and capture attention from the start. They draw you in to where you are curious to learn more about this person's life and what they have accomplished. The biographies themselves are written like mini short stories instead of a list of facts. This makes them easy for even younger children to digest and keep interest. Overall, this book is a wonderful and engaging way to learn about influential people in the Asian American community."

The Discovery of Chess
by Phil Amara and Oliver Chin
illustrated by Juan Calle
"The history of chess and of the game's greatest players is very interesting and authors Phil Amara and Oliver Chin have done a great job at explaining it at a child's (and my) level. Dao, a time traveling red panda, takes Emma and Ethan on a whirlwind trip to discover the development of the game. The illustrations by Juan Calle are colorful and detailed and I would definitely recommend it for older children, as well."
