A. Happy Year of the Tiger!
---
Lunar New Year begins on Friday, February 1st.

We're happy to share The Year of the Tiger and our series Tales from the Chinese Zodiac with kids from coast to coast!

Our adventurous hero Teddy inspires children to greater heights! He is illustrated by Justin Roth, who drew The Year of the Rabbit and Baltazar and the Flying Pirates.

On 1/26/22, the Los Angeles Times recommended getting our storybook The Year of the Tiger at local retailers such as the iconic Huntington Library in San Marino, California.

Contact us to book our entertaining storytimes for schools, libraries, and your favorite family organizations.

Giveaway:
The first 5 people who buy an autographed copy of any Tales from the Chinese Zodiac from our website will get a free 8x10 The Year of the Tiger print!

B. Author David Derrick, Moana, & Disney +!
---
David is a Story Artist at Walt Disney Animation Studios. David has contributed to the films Encanto, Raya and the Last Dragon, The Lion King, and Moana.

Recently he was named the director of the upcoming 2024 musical long-form series Moana, for the Disney+ streaming service.

David created four of our storybooks:
- Sid the Squid
- Animals Don't, So I Won't!
- I'm the Scariest Thing in the Jungle!
- Play with Your Food

Check out his dynamic drawings of characters with winning personalities!

C. Tales from the Chinese Zodiac on Roku!
---
We are pleased to announce that our characters are on Roku TV!

2. REVIEWS

The Discovery of Fireworks & Gunpowder
by Phil Amara and Oliver Chin, illustrated by Juan Calle

"Amara and Chin pack as much STEM information into Dao You's history lesson as there is metallic powder in pyrotechnic stars... Calle's bright cartoons infuse energy and enthusiasm into each spread."
- Publishers Weekly

The Story of Noodles
by Ying Chang Compestine, illustrated by YongSheng Xuan

"Cut-paper collage illustrations on white backgrounds with textured paper borders are cleanly and elegantly displayed...The black outlines give a feeling of dimensionality similar to that evinced in stained glass... Compestine's almost tongue-in-cheek tale is a nearly unbeat-able combination of slapstick humor, fast pace, and food."
-The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books
