Chinese New Year started this week on February 5th.
The 2019 edition of The Year of the Pig features a new bilingual translation in simplified Chinese.
Illustrated by Jeremiah Alcorn, Patty shows how everyone can think out the box and surpass expectations!
Kids love our annual series Tales from the Chinese Zodiac, so check out our box set, which comes with a special poster.

C. Celebrate the Lunar New Year

This Sunday, enjoy the annual festival at the Oakland Museum (CA). Oliver Chin will read The Year of the Pig at 1:30 and 3:30 pm.
During the following week, celebrate the lunar new year at public libraries in Foster City, Brisbane, and Half Moon Bay.
Visit San Francisco the next weekend! On Saturday 2/16, Oliver presents the story at the South San Francisco public library at noon, and then signs the at the San Francisco Symphony at 4 pm.
Get free admission to the Asian Art Museum on Sunday 2/17. Oliver reads Patty's adventure at 11:45 am and then autograph books at the store. Then he will visit schools, libraries, and stores in Southern California later in February.
