A. New book: Animals Don't, So I Won't
---
An animator at DreamWorks, author David Derrick made his own mini-movie for his new book, which launches this month:

Animals Don't, So I Won't
video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vf3XbojtWs0

View the animated trailer which shows just how much a boy loves animals. Ben can transform into them! That is a handy trick when you don't feel like cleaning your room, eating dinner, or taking a bath. But little did Ben expect his mom to have the same powers!

BONUS:

The first person who orders Animals Don't from our website will get a free 8x10 photo of Dave's first story Sid the Squid and the Search for the Perfect Job.

B. New book: Justin Time
---
As the TV show debuts on Disney Junior in Canada on Sunday, September 16 at 8:30 a.m. (EST), we publish the first storybook:

Justin Time: The Pancake Express

This tale appeals to kids who love trains and adults who like IHOP! Justin likes locomotives and suddenly becomes an engineer of a Canadian steam engine with a very important delivery to make.

Catch more adventures on PBS Sprout and NBC Kids on Saturday mornings.

C. Treehouse Heroes: Character Preview
---
Mix a spoonful X-men with a touch of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and you get a hint of the appeal of our upcoming October 2012 adventure.

Treehouse Heroes and the Forgotten Beast.

This fab five want to make their world a better place, and definitely have the special powers to overcome any obstacle. Written by comic book veteran Phil Amara and illustrated by the prolific artist Alina Chau, here is an introduction to another member of the team.

Bri:
When this young boy speaks softly, he literally carries a big stick. His voice is like the wind! From a whisper to a scream, he can blow the house down. Whoosh!

New Apple iBook
The Year of the Ox:
Tales from the Chinese Zodiac

"Miah Alcorn's illustrations are bright and colorful. Each character's personality reflects on each page. Oliver Chin uses Olivia's story to illustrate some of the characteristics of the ox from the Chinese zodiac. The story also teaches children (hard working and dependable) that nobody's perfect and that nobody can be good at everything. It just takes time to discover what one's talents are."

September Travelogue:

On Labor Day weekend, we visit Colorado to celebrate The Year of the Dragon at the annual Chinese Heritage Camp (www.heritagecamps.org). CHC was one of the first camps in the country exclusively created for families with children adopted from China. We're pleased to return and share our stories with you!

Simultaneously, we wish travelers to the Black Rock Desert well. Enjoy the theme of Fertility 2.0 at Black Rock City (www.burningman.com) and the culminating fire in the sky.

Watch out...Barbara Traub, author of Desert to Dream: A Dozen Years of Burning Man Photography, may be among you taking shots of the spectacular sights.

Then see us at the annual San Francisco Dragon Boat festival on Treasure Island (www.sfdragonboat.com, September 15& 16). This one of our favorite events, especially since this is The Year of the Dragon! Visit our booth and get a limited edition T-shirt of Bo and Dominic.
