1. NEWS
A. Hop along,
Rosie!
---
We visit Southern California again this weekend and share the adventures of The Year of the Rabbit at schools, stores, libraries, and museums.
Catch a Saturday morning story time (3/5, 10:30 am) at the Pasadena literary landmark Vroman's bookstore. Or catch Rosie later that afternoon at the Chinese American Museum of LA (http://www.camla.org, downtown near Olvera Street) as we kick off their annual Lantern Festival.
On Sunday 3/6, Rosie will visit the awesomely fun Kidspace Children's Museum near the Rose Bowl. On Monday 3/7, we hit Orange County and will share the 6th book in the Tales from the Chinese Zodiac series at 7 pm at the beautiful Cerritos Libray (http://menu.ci.cerritos.ca.us/).
Along the way we'll visit scores of students and share the love of reading, writing, and drawing with them. Then Rosie will get ready for her favorite holiday: "Spring Break" and Easter! Just don't ask her to dye your eggs :)
B. Stop the presses: Octonauts Alert!
---
Octonauts
This is the news that we've always dreamed of:
The Octonauts TV show is coming to America!
"TF1 France, ABC Australia, RTE Ireland, Discovery Kids Latin America, MNet South Africa, Yoopa Canada, RTP Portugal, Disney Japan and Truevision Thailand have all acquired the show."
- Variety
But now with a 2nd TV season in the works (drum roll please)... The Octonauts will debut on the new Disney Junior cable channel in 2012!
- recently Disney Junior launched as a program block on the Disney Channel, and it will become its own network next year to replace SOAPnet.
Wow - we thank you - our valued readers for help making this happen. We appreciate your adventurous browsing, eye for art that amazes, and willingness to share your enthusiasm. Now one of our goals has come true - for our dear fans to enjoy one of our dynamic worlds in another entertaining medium.
C. Billie the Unicorn - WonderCon 2011 & Character Preview
---
Billie the Unicorn gallops toward you in April 2011. Author Brianne Drouhard is ready to sign books galore at the official launch at WonderCon (http://www.comic-con.org/wc/) in San Francisco from April 1-3.
Immedium will exhibit there for the first time (booth 220, across from DC Comics)! We are proud to feature Billie as we share all our stories with the comics universe. Thanks to all of you who have pre-ordered an autographed copy - everyone else is welcome to drop by, meet Brianne, and get charming Billie goodies!
Rhubarb:
One of Billie's forest cousins, she is the big sister to Smudge. Rhubarb can grow organic strawberries like nobody's business. More importantly, she teaches Billie that home is where the heart is.

Sid the Squid and the Search for the Perfect Job
(978-1-59702-021-3, $15.95)
"This is the perfect read-out-loud book for children of all ages. The story is clever and engaging, with the type of subtle repetitive pattern that kids seem to love, followed by surprising and delightful outcomes. The story is humorous and the lesson taught is encouraging as children anticipate what Sid's (and their) place in the world might be. The illustrations are charming with depth and unexpected detail perfect for kids (and delightful for their adult reading companions!). The witty feel of the book comes from the sense of humor evident in the paintings. Overall, a fabulous new addition to my collection of treasured children's books."
