A. What's up,
Rosie?
---
"To learn the characteristics of this year's star animal, check out The Year of the Rabbit: Tales from the Chinese Zodiac"
- San Francisco Chronicle
We've been pleased to share the story with many kids, parents, and teachers so far…with more on the way! On Sunday we swing through Los Angeles (2/6-2/9) to present at Southern California schools, museums, and libraries. Then we'll visit again in early March (3/4-3/8). Mark your calendars, enjoy a story time, and celebrate 2011 with us.
"I love rabbits, obviously, so The Year of the Rabbit a sweet story about Rosie, a rabbit with extra-long ears, was right up my alley. Written by Oliver Chin with fantastic illustrations by Justin Roth, this book is another great Immedium release. A tale of friendship, bravery, and why sometimes its good to be just a little different, Rosie will hop her way right into your heart."

B. Viva Los Octonautas!
---
Our heroes continue to make new fans worldwide. Across Latin America, the Octonauts animated TV series is broadcast on Discovery Kids (ex. www.tudiscoverykids.com/personajes/octonautas/). Tell your amigos to catch the crew's adventures every day!
Argentina: 7:30 am
Brazil: 7:30 am
Chile: 10.30 am
Colombia: 9:30 am
México: 7:30 am
Venezuela: 10 am
From the United Kingdom comes this news flash:
"The show launched on Cbeebies in October 2010 and has become a strong performer for the channel in the 8 am and 4:50 pm time slots. The second series has been ordered and is currently in development."
- Licensing.biz
And a testimonial from an Australian admirer:
"My children and I enjoy watching the Octonauts series. As a geologist I am impressed by the scientific accuracy of the program. There is nothing like seeing my children enthralled with 'black smokers' and giant squid. The animation is amazing and the storyline never fails to provide enough wit to keep a smile on my face. Fantastic work by all involved!"
- Best Wishes, L. Rollison
C. Billie the Unicorn - Character Preview
---
Billie the Unicorn approaches in April 2011. Author Brianne Drouhard has created a beautiful world full of horn-headed horses that will charm your socks off. Here is a sneak peek at one of the main characters!
Smudge:
One of Billie's forest cousins, this rascal has a big sister named Rhubarb. Smudge has a special talent for poking good-natured fun and for growing the big and bright flower known as Helianthus annuus. But Smudge's heart is in the right place, which makes him a boon companion.

The Year of the Dog: Tales from the Chinese Zodiac
(978-1-59702-002-2, $15.95)
"Oliver Chin playfully reveals the virtues of loyalty, honesty, and faithfulness (qualities which people born in the Year of the Dog are supposed to possess) through Daniel's adventure-filled journey with his best friend, a girl named Lin. Daniel protects Lin at all costs and learns many lessons along the way. The tale, along with the wonderfully animated pictures by Miah Alcorn, makes for a fun read for young children and their parents. With this book, you could definitely judge it by its cover."

Sid the Squid and the Search for the Perfect Job
(978-1-59702-021-3, $15.95)
"Dave has been storyboarding, blogging and sculpting constantly in the five years I've known him. He's one of the most energetic and intrepid artists I've ever seen in action, and he's smart enough to play to his interests when planning a project. When he grabs hold of a subject he goes all the way, and one of his fascinations is sea life. He studies it, photographs it, swims with it and best of all draws it (all these permutations visible on his website), so it's natural that his first stand-alone children's book became a sweet-natured fable about a giant squid...Droll adventures ensue."
